An extremely rare gold and enamel form clock, The Cello, with Camaieu magnifying glass painting on the back and additional fragrance container, probably Vienna, circa 1880.
Gold, enamel, engine-turned case, dark red guilloche enamel on the front, romantic painting on the reverse, rare enamel technique, so-called Camaieu magnifying glass painting, back cover with spring lid mechanism. Perfectly preserved enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five minutes numerals, and filigree red gold hands. Bridge movement, ebauche Lecoultre, rhodium-plated, Geneva Stripes decoration, polished screws, cylinder escapement, monometallic balance.
