Piaget launched the Collection du XXIe Siècle (21st Century Collection) in 1969, at the height of the firm’s finest era of jewellery making. Produced for a short period of time, the collection was inspired by the period’s nonconformist style, showcasing avant-garde pieces characterized by their asymmetrical shapes and daring use of materials. Piaget elevated hard stones to new heights, incorporating lapis lazuli, malachite and tiger’s eye into their ground-breaking and highly wearable pieces. It is no wonder that this collection, amassed with over 30 hard stones and bold designs has earned Piaget the moniker of ‘The Jeweler of Watchmaking’.
