Gold and enamel full hunter by Longines

An extremely rare Swiss yellow gold hunting cased pocket watch with double sided enamel miniature painting, Venice, circa 1970-1975. This timepiece has a fine mechanical lever movement with 17 jewels. It boasts a white enamel dial adorned with Roman numerals for the hours, outer minute divisions, and blued steel hands. The case is crafted from 18 carat yellow gold and features a coined band, a snap on case back, and intricate polychrome enamel paintings depicting scenes of Venice on both sides. The case, dial and movement are signed. The watch is accompanied by a Longines presentation box.

The movement is functioning properly. The enamel is intact and in good condition. The dial shows only extremely minor signs of wear, and the case exhibits some minor wear as well. Overall, the watch remains in very good condition.

These Longines enamel watches are extremely rare and were produced in very limited quantities. They are comparable to the Patek Philippe references 823, 852, and 866, which were also made in the 1970s.
