A French silver and gold open faced Souscription pocket watch, circa 1805. Montre simple à une aiguille dite montre de Souscription. Gilded brass ruby cylinder movement with central going barrel, plain three armed brass balance, parachute suspension on the pivot, blued steel flat balance spring with bimetallic compensation curb on the regulator. Later white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and single blued steel Breguet hand. Large later plain silver case with gold rims and gold bow. Movement signed Breguet and numbered.
