A very fine and rare Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced quarter repeating musical cylinder watch, circa 1820. Gilt finished keywound cylinder movement, repeating on two hammers, sur plateau musical movement with pinned brass disc and tuned steel fan teeth, the music activated by a sliding lever in the band. Gold cuvette. Engine turned gilt dial with Roman numerals on blank chapter ring. Engine turned case, repeating through the pendant. Cuvette signed and numbered, case numbered.
