A rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless lever watch with stoppable centre seconds made for the English market, encased circa 1900. 3/4 Plate fully jewelled German silver movement made circa 1883, English lever escapement, large bimetallic compensation balance, diamond endstone. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer scale calibrated for 300 units and stoppable centre seconds. Large English case, seconds stop/start button in the band. Case and cuvette numbered and stamped I.J.T.N. for Isaac Jabez Theo Newsome and with Chester date letter for 1900, movement signed and numbered.
