Mandolin form watch with concealed dial

A small and attractive Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel, paste and pearl set mandolin form watch with concealed dial, circa 1820. Gilt finished verge movement, chain fusée, engraved and pierced balance cock. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, all hinged within a mandolin form case with polychrome champlevé enamel geometrically decorated panels, chased gold soundboard with floral and scroll decoration, balance cock exposed through the paste bordered sound hole, white, black and yellow champlevé enamelled neck with pearl set tuning pegs over blue enamel head, string bridge, short length of gold chain attached to the case and head. Case and movement numbered.
