A fine Swiss 18-carat gold open faced key-wound pocket watch with dead seconds and mock pendulum made for the Chinese market, circa 1810-1820. Full plate pirouette escapement, chain fusée, oversized five-armed balance. White enamel dial, small eccentric hour and minute dial at 12 o’clock, dead centre seconds, aperture at 6 o’clock with mock pendulum. Later polished case, start and stop lever in the band, later inscription to the interior. Dial and movement signed.
