Gold repeating watch with ornaments in pair cases

An early 18th Century English pair cases quarter repeating verge in gold fully carved and pierced case.
The housing in openwork foliage, pearl and precious stones in the centre mythological scene.
The outer case is fully carved and pierced.
Gold dial Roman numerals for the hours, minutes cartridges with Arabic numerals.
The movement is a cylinder escapement, fusee and chain, spring balance, adjusting disc, double hammer on a bell, push pendant for repeating, protective capsule of arms of the Royal Crown of England.

A very nice example shows the pomp of the early eighteenth century. The housing is a very high quality of performance, similar to those carried out by the famous watchmaker Cabrier in London.
