A fine American 14 carat rose gold hunting cased keyless lever watch, circa 1890. Full plate nickel finished lever movement. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and blued steel spade hands. Box hinged case with unusual three quarter design, the front with scroll and foliate motif surrounding a monogram, similar design to the reverse with engraved face. Case numbered and stamped M. F & Co. for Max Freund of New York, dial and movement signed bywatchmaker, movement numbered.
