A fine Swiss chromium plated display desk clock with hack feature and original walnut presentation box, circa 1919. Extra gilt finished jewelled lever movement stamped with the Geneva seal and numbered twice, Guillaume balance, gold poising screws, micrometer regulator, wolf’s tooth winding. Silvered matte dial, central inner time ring with enamel baton numerals, outer calibrated seconds track with Arabic fifth seconds divisions, blued steel hands and subsidiary seconds. Case with sloped bezel, hacking feature activated by depressing a button in the band at 4 o’clock, large ball form crown. Case, dial and movement signed, case and movement numbered.
