A fine, large Swiss silver keyless lever deck chronometer for the British Hydrographic Service, circa 1945. Gilt finished jewelled lever movement, anibal-brass Guillaume balance, swann neck regulator. Silver cuvette. Silvered dial with Arabic numerals, outer calibrated fifth seconds ring, center seconds. Polished case engraved W10/VC7230, H. S. ^2, 54884. Case, dial and movement signed, case, cuvette and movement numbered, case and cuvette further stamped FFBA for Fédération des Fabricants de Boîtes en Argent. Comes with wooden fitted presentation box.
