A large Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1850-1860. 3/4 Plate nickel finished lever movement, gold screw chatons, bimetallic compensation balance. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer calibrated minute track, sunken subsidiary seconds dial and blued steel hands. Oversized chased and engraved case, the front cover with scene surrounded by a scroll leaf motif, the back cover with cityscape and similar scroll leaf motif, beaded motif to the band. Movement and dial signed, movement and case numbered.
