A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and pearl set open faced keywound verge watch, circa 1820. Full plate gilt verge movement, engraved and pierced balance bridge. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals. The bezel set with pearls, hinged case back with a polychrome painted enamel scene of a couple in a pastoral landscape cradling a lamb, surrounded by translucent blue enamel over engine turned ground with gold and purple enamelled vases filled with flowers of white and red and set with pearls to the leaves and a band. Dial and movement signed.
