Rose gold quarter repeating lever automaton by J. Ullmann & Co

A Swiss 14 carat rose gold and enamel hunting cased quarter repeating keyless lever watch with automaton, circa 1900. Gilt finished jewelled lever movement, quarter repeating with two hammers onto two gongs, glazed dust cover. Gold cuvette. Dial with translucent blue enamel on engine turned ground, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and polychrome enamel automaton scene with Mercury holding his caduceues and Father Time holding a harvesting scythe, striking the bells in unison with the quarter repeating function. Engine turned case, blank central cartouche, hinged case back, minute repeating mechanism activated by the slide in the band. Cuvette signed and numbered, case numbered.
