A German gilt metal two day marine chronometer, circa 1950. Gilt finished lever movement, blued steel helical spring, bimetallic compensation balance with four circular mean time weights and two temperature nuts. Silvered matte dial with Roman numerals, outer railway minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and arched sector for power reserve. Case with screwed bezel, gimballed within a typical marine chronometer wooden case with glazed top concelaed under a hinged wooden cover. Case numbered, dial and movement signed.
