A fine and rare American 14 carat tri-colour gold hunting cased box hinge pocket watch, circa 1890. Size 18 full plate nickel finished lever movement, 17 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial, stylized Arabic numerals, outer minute track with Arabic five minute divisions, sunken subsidiary seconds, gilt leaf motif with gilt dot spacers to the central zone and blued steel spade hands. Case engraved with tri-colour gold florettes and leaf motif, the rims engraved with scroll motif, front cover with monogram, the back cover with single rose cut diamond, box hinge. Dial and movement signed by watchmaker, case signed by Dueber, case, cuvette and movement numbered.
