Rose gilt and enamel open faced key-wound watch by Robert et Courvoisier

A Swiss rose gilt and enamel open faced quarter repeating skeletonized key-wound cylinder pocket watch, circa 1820. Gilt finished jewelled cylinder movement, three armed balance, quarter repeating on two hammers onto a gong, quarter repeat activated through a plunger in the crown, glazed hinged dust cover with key holes. Skeletonized dial, white enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals, gilt hands and blued tips. Hinged case back with polychrome enamel and gilt scene with a woman and sheep in an idyllic landscape, outer white enamel and gilt border, engraved band. Dial and movement signed.
