An amusing Swiss, 14 Carat yellow gold quarter repeating keyless pocket watch, circa 1900. With automaton and concealed erotic scene in an unusual case. Made for the American market. A solid case, engine turned covers case back and front with applied silver leaf and flower decorations, engine turned case band, beneath the back cover a multi coloured gilt erotic scene of a couple enjoying the comforts of the boudoir. Blue dial with a multi coloured gilt scene depicting a Roman couple striking a bell at the top, in the center, silver subsidiary dial for the hours, minutes and seconds with Roman numerals and gilt feuille hands. Frosted gilt movement, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bi metallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring and repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant.
