An early Jules Jürgensen Copenhagen gold hunting cased watch with key winding, Ankerchronometer, circa 1860. An 18K gold, original high-quality case, hunting cased a-goutte, signed and numbered case and dome, very early Ankerchronometer movement, signed and numbered on the bridge, flying barrel, large Ankerchronometer balance, special lever, extremely long regulator hand, signed original enamel dial, very filigree Breguet steel hands, in very beautiful condition, in working order. The watch is a wonderful early example of Jürgensen’s high-quality pocket chronometers. Similar watches are illustrated in “The Jurgensen Dynasty” by John Knudsen.
