A rare, fine Danish hunting cased pocket watch with club-tooth lever escapement, circa 1844.
18 carat gold case, florally engraved, monogrammed, à goutte, with reeded band, engine-turned and signed gold dome and inner lid with dedication engraving: “In Memory of Tuesday Evening March 7th 1843”. Enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, auxiliary seconds and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, frosted, gilt, keywind, with lateral lever and large gold screw compensation balance.
