An extremely rare Danish minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch with a unique black enamel dial, with original box and original certificate signed by Jules Jürgensen, circa 1890.
Engine turned 18 carat gold à goutte case with engine turned and signed gold dome and slide for repeating mechanism. Black signed enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, auxiliary seconds and spade hands. Bridge movement, ébauche: Piguet Frères, rhodium-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, screwed gold chatons, signed, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, large gold screw compensation balance, blued balance spring, counterpoised lever, index spring fine adjusting device.
