A very early large watch of the Jürgensen Dynasty, made by, Isaac Larpent & Jørgen Jürgensen in Kjöbenhavn, Denmark, circa 1794. The plain open faced original Jürgensen case was crafted from silver and has a KPF/JJ punch. The white enamel dial has Arabic hour numerals and gold hands and the numbered full plate movement has a cylinder escapement.
The dial and movement are signed.

Jürgensen Dynasty – Larpent & Jürgensen
Jørgen Jürgensen and Isaac Larpent were watchmakers who partnered to establish a watchmaking company in Denmark. In 1773, Jürgensen, a watchmaker, collaborated with Isaac Larpent, leading to the creation of “Larpent & Jürgensen”, which produced around 4.000 watches between 1773 and 1814. This partnership was a significant step in the early development of watchmaking in Denmark.
