Yellow gold pocket chronometer
–
A very fine hunting cased 18 Carat yellow gold pocket chronometer with pivoted detent escapement. Made by Jules Jürgensen, Copenhagen, Denmark Circa 1860. Four body and bassine et filets case with engine-turned, polished borders, reeded band and a hinged gold cuvette.
White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, large subsidiary seconds dial and Jürgensen type gold and diamond-set hands.
M. Frosted gilt and jewelled to the third wheel movement with chronometer escapement with pivoted detent, jewelled locking stone, the detent pivot and escape wheel pivot with gold caps, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold timing screws, Breguet balance spring and an index regulator.
Cuvette signed.
