Gold Art Nouveau-style lever watch
–
Very fine and extravagant Art Nouveau-style watch by Pavel Buhre, Russian court watchmaker, circa 1916. This is a remarkable 14 carat pink gold watch with a Russian gold punch. It features a beautiful back and a gold monogram with the initials BD. The watch is made of pink and green gold, showcasing excellent quality. The inner dome is adorned with a Cyrillic dedication from 1916, and the dome itself is signed and numbered. The watch houses an exquisite, extra flat Ankerchronometer movement with Geneva stripes engraved with a Cyrillic inscription. The dial is gilt Cartier-style, complemented by blued Breguet steel hands. This watch boasts a rare, high-quality design, with the movement in pristine condition, although a revision is recommended.
