An early A. Lange & Söhne silver open faced pocket watch, circa 1878.
Silver case with gold hinge, gold crown, floral engraving on back and Saxony owner’s engraving on back. Very early precision lever movement with gold lever and gold escape wheel but still without fine adjusting device. White enamel dial with Roman hours, sunk subsidiary dial for the seconds and blued steel hands. Matching numbers on case and movement.
