A magnificent and rare French silver quarter repeating oignon pocket watch made by Julien Le Roy in Paris, circa 1715. Gilded, very high full plate movement with verge escapement, chain and screw, silvered pillar, blued screws, swan neck regulator, engraved balance cock, engraved regulating wheel. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, Arabic five minute numerals and gold hands. Large plain case with very fine sound openings on the back.
