A fine, elegant, and limited edition French 18K yellow gold mystery keyless lever dress watch, circa 1997. This Cartier mystery watch features a keyless lever mechanical and jewelled movement. It has an 18K yellow gold case with a sapphire crystal display back. The watch has an intriguing mechanism where the hands appear to be floating inside the dial. This effect is achieved by the hands settling on two separate pieces of round glass controlled by concealed gears, creating an illusion of two hands ticking in the middle of thin air.
