–
A very fine pocket chronometer with power reserve display and a high quality gold key with stone inlay on a gold chain, made by Brillman & Co. in London, England, circa 1870. The numbered plain open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and has a reeded band. The numbered original very fine quality champlevé dial has Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock and Breguet steel hands. The numbered very fine quality movement has an Earnshaw spring chronometer escapement with a cylindrical hairspring and a diamond end stone.
Dial and movement have matching numbers and are signed.
