An important watch with repeater

An important gold repoussé verge watch with repeater, made by Daniel Delander in London, England, circa 1705. This watch features a 22 carat repoussé outer case of excellent quality, pierced, extremely elaborately decorated with figures, birds and grotesque faces, exceptionally solid work. The inner case also pierced, decorated with mythical creatures, birds and a cartouche with a relief scene, a bell and the original silver dome. The white enamel dial features an outer minute and hour track with Roman hour numerals and the original gold hands. The numbered movement is equipped with a very early English verge escapement, an hours and quarters repeater  and a diamond end stone.
The case and movement bear matching numbers and the movement is signed.
