A highly attractive and large English pair cased coach watch with verge escapement, circa 1786. A striking piece of impressive proportions in excellent condition.
Two cases: a silver outer case, with case maker’s punch mark and large lateral hinge; and a silver polished inner case. Silver champlevé dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes, baroque decor in the centre and blued steel Poker & Beetle hands. Full plate movement, keywind, chain/fusee, three-arm brass balance.
