Chronometer in box with brass carrying handles

A very high quality marine chronometer, made by Kelvin White & Hutton, in London, England, circa 1920. The numbered brass case in fitted in to a three part mahogany box with recessed brass carrying handles and the original ivory company plate, with a gimbal suspension. The numbered original silvered dial has Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock and blued steel hands. The numbered movement has a spring detent chronometer escapement, a helical hairspring and a diamond end stone.
Box and dial have matching numbers and are signed.
