Gilt florally pierced and engraved made for Chinese market

An important and very fine coach clock with music (2 melodies) and automaton, produced for the Chinese market, circa 1785. The case is finely engraved, pierced, glazed on both sides, set with red gemstones and split pearls. Front side is enamel, Roman numerals, centre seconds, scale for 2 melodies “dance and song” and regulator scale “faster and slower”, florally pierced and engraved balance bridge with large diamond endstone. Reverse side is polychrome English landscape with automaton, a little boy playing in a park, moving his arm. Full plate movement, frosted, gilt, cylinder escapement, 2 x chain / fusee, 2 melodies with 6 hammers on 6 bells, pin-set barrel for striking train.
