A very fine English gold and enamel pair cased cylinder pocket watch, circa 1774. Full plate movement, key winding, chain and fusee, a three arm steel balance and cylinder escapement. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, Arabic five minute numerals and decorative hands. The outer case is decorated with translucent cobalt blue enamelled champlevé flowers and bows, an oval enamel medallion in the center showing a love altar on a guilloché and translucent cobalt blue background in the middle of an opaque white frame with the banner Love With Friendship And Truth, a plain inner case. Movement and protetion cap signed and numbered.
