An exceptional English pocket watch with double wheel duplex escapement, circa 1830.
Silver polished case with reeded band, case maker’s punch mark “TW (Thomas Walker)” and movement protection cap. Signed and numbered enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and gold “Fleur de Lys” hands. Full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, chatoned and signed, with chain/fusee, solid moulded pillars, gold three-arm balance, fine florally engraved balance cock and chatoned diamond endstone on balance.
