An English novel silver verge pair cased watch with dial engraved keep me clean and use me well, circa 1830, gilt full plate movement, pierced and engraved balance cock with grotesque mask and decorated with foliage and a dolphin’s head, round pillars, Bosley regulator, dial with fine central gilt engraving, white enamel hour ring with Roman numerals, gilt outer ring with dial engraved, keep me clean and use me well – and I to you the truth will tell, blued steel spade hands, plain silver inner and outer case, with maker’s mark JH for James Heales,movement signed Thomas Glase, Bridgenorth.
