An extremely rare, very fine, English gold enamel pocket watch with corresponding chatelaine and original box, circa 1800. The case is made of 18 Carat gold and enamel. The back cover is engine turned and translucent cobalt blue enamelled, with a fine composition of summer flowers in translucent enamel and a border adorned with half pearls. The corresponding chatelaine features engine turned and translucent cobalt blue enamelled medallions, a small watch key, and two enamelled tassels. The dial is enamel and displays radial Arabic numerals, with a white enamelled bezel decorated with gold foliage and arrow shaped gold hands. The movement is a full plate, key wind, with applied floral decorations.
