An English fusee lever by Frodsham in a 18K gold open faced case, hallmarked London circa 1842. Gilt three quarter plate key wind movement with fusee and chain. Harrison’s maintaining power. Engraved cock with diamond endstone, polished steel regulator, the index on the plate. Compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Unusual gilt guard to the balance. English table roller lever escapement. Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals and blue steel hands. Engine turned 18 Carat open face case. Maker’s mark LC in an oval.
