Gilt Loehr Perpetual open faced watch

A Swiss Loehr Perpetual pedometer wind cylinder in a gilt open faced case, circa 1880.  Gilt three quarter plate movement with going barrel wound by an oscillating weight.  Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel spiral hairspring.  Cylinder escapement.  Automatic winding work set above the plate carries a weight set at the side which oscillates as the wearer walks, safety mechanism to avoid over-winding.   Signed white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds, Roman numerals, blue steel hands. Aperture to allow the watch to be wound by key if desired and central thumbwheel for hand set.
