The lover’s serenade pair cased pocket watch

A fine and rare gilt metal and painted on enamel pair cased pocket watch, made by J. Charleson, London, Great Britain, circa 1750.
Outercase: two body, the deep back cover painted on enamel with a scene of a couple in a landscape, the gentleman serenading the lady, gilt metal mounts, the bezel painted on enamel with flowers, the interior painted with a further flower spray. Inner case: two body, bassine and polished.
White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five minute numerals and pierced gilt hands. Matte gilt and full plate movement with square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three arm steel balance with flat balance spring, pierced and engraved single footed cock.
