Gold hunting cased lever pocket watch

A fine Swiss, 18K yellow gold, hunting cased, keyless, quarter repeating pocket watch with a chronograph, circa 1920. A solid, polished, hinged gold cuvette. The front cover with a blue and white champlevé enamel monogram CVC, the interior with engraved dedication. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, outer minute and fifths of a second chronograph division calibrated from 0-300, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands.

A rhodium-plated movement, 35 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, visible chronograph mechanism, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed.
