A very large gold/enamel pocket watch with very rare movement, quarter repeater, France, probably circa 1800. An 18 carat gold, enamel miniature painting on the back, very rare caliber with early lever escapement, quarter repeater, splendid relief dial in 18k gold, decorated with wine leaves and grapes, roman numerals, small enamel inlays, very nice condition of preservation, enamel painting with professionally restored hairlines. Large sized gold/enamel pocket watch repeaters are real rarities.
