An exquisite English gold/enamel verge watch with pearl setting and precious gold/enamel watch chain, circa 1800.
Magnificent, fine-quality English verge movement, diamond endstone. Enamel dial with Arabic radial hours, outer minutes track, and exceptional diamond-set hands (hour hand slightly damaged). 18K gold case in outstanding quality, tiny opening button in the band, back with blue engine-turned enamel in completely original condition, both sides set with half Oriental pearls, surrounded by a fine white enamel rim and accompanied by a very rare gold watch chain with blue enamelled elements and a matching gold/enamel key as well as a gold/enamel signet. Dial and movement signed.
