English gold enamel triple cased verge watch Circa 1813

A remarkable gold enamel verge pocket watch in a triple case with corresponding gold enamel chatelaine for the Ottoman market Case: outer case -18k gold, enamel, waved rim, florally engraved, opaque blue taille d’epargne enamellings, engine-turned and translucent red enamelled, glazed on one side. Middle case – 18K gold, waved rim with floral engravings, opaque polychrome taille d’epargne enamelling, partly engine-turned and translucent red enamelled, on the back side opaque polychrome enamel plaque depicting an Alpine landscape with lake, in the back an engine-turned, translucent rose-coloured ground. Inner case – 18K gold, smooth, case maker punch mark “AN”, opaque and translucent enamelled pendant. Corresponding chatelaine with watch key (length 240 mm). Dial: enamel, radial Ottoman numerals, gold “Poker & Beetle” hands. Movm.: full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, signed, blued screws, verge escapement, three-arm steel balance, blued balance spring, very finely florally engraved, pierced balance cock with a crescent and a star, silver regulator disc, set diamond endstone on balance.
