A Gold watch with one minute tourbillon by Smith & Son

An important, heavy hunting cased watch with one-minute tourbillon and chronograph, circa 1911. 18k gold case, tiered, smooth, pusher for chronograph at “12”, case maker punch mark “FT” (Frederick Thoms), glazed movement. Dial is enamel, radial Roman numerals, sunk auxiliary seconds, sunk 60-min. counter, blued spade hands. 3/4 plate movement, frosted, gilt, chatoned, blued screws, ground, bevelled chronograph steel parts, Swiss lever escapement, ratchet wheel, finely polished steel tourbillon cage, gold screw compensation balance, ruby endstone on lever and escape wheel.
