Gold keyless lever pocket watch

A very fine, rare and heavy English 18 carat gold half hunting cased keyless chronograph pocket watch with a 60 minute register made by E. Dent & Co. Ltd. in London, London hallmarked for 1911. The frosted gilt ½ plate movement, supplied by Nicole Nielsen, ∅ 43 mm, with 15 jewels, a going barrel, lateral English lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold timing and temperature adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, diamond endstone and an index regulator, the chronograph work mounted on the backplate activated by a button in the band. White enamel with Roman hours, an outer minute track with concentric fifth of a seconds and outermost Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 9 o’clock, a 60 minute register at 3 and original blued steel double spade hands. A polished case punched with maker’s mark RN, the hinged and sprung front cover with a radial blue enamel Roman chapter ring and inner minute track, a thief proof swivel bow and hinged gold cuvette. Dial and movement signed and numbered.
