A high-quality English 18K gold pocket watch with key winding, circa 1854.
Hinged, signed and numbered, frosted gilt 3/4 plate English lever movement, chain and worm drive, maintaining power, lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Very well preserved enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track, blued steel spade hands, and subsidiary dial for the seconds with blued steel seconds hand. Engine turned 18K gold case, reeded middle part, Hallmarks London 1854.
