A fine English 18 carat gold open faced lever pocket watch, Hallmarked London 1854-1855. Hinged 3/4 plate frosted gilt movement, ring turned pillars, fusee and chain, maintaining power, lateral calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold and platinum screws, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, diamond endstone. Gold fixed cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and original gold spade hands. Case engine turned on the back, master mark AS for Alfred Stram, reeded band. Dial and movement signed.
