An English gold champlevé dial pair cased watch a shagreen protective, circa 1731. Full plate fire gilt movement with square baluster pillars. Pierced and engraved masked cock , the top half removed, garnet endstone, broad pierced and engraved foot and plate for the silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain with worm and wheel barrel setup between the plates. Plain three-arm steel balance, blue steel spiral hairspring. Converted from verge to English table roller lever escapement. Signed gold champleve dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, later gold hands. 22 Carat pair cases, later gold pendant and bow, maker’s mark SG below a fish. In a green shagreen-covered protective carrying case secured by two gilt hooks.
