A very fine English 18 carat gold open faced pocket chronometer with key winding and 30 hour power reserve, circa 1881. ½ Plate movement, chain and fusee, a spring chronometer escapement, heavy, very fine chronometer compensation balance with gold screws and free swinging, blued, cylindrical balance spring. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, 30 hour power reserve at 12, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 and blued spade & whip hand. A plain case with an engraved noble coat of arms on the back. Movement signed and numbered. Comes with a wooden presentation box.
